The school year 2022/2023 proved to be a challenging one for Garrett County Public Schools (GCPS). The year was marked by the looming threat of school closures, the resignation of the superintendent (effective 7/1), and the departure of a Board of Education member. Despite these obstacles, GCPS demonstrated resilience and surpassed many other school systems in the state, ensuring that the children of Garrett County continued to receive a top-notch education. To commemorate these achievements and usher in a well-deserved summer break, the Garrett County Education Association (GCEA) organized the End of the Year Dinner at Ace’s Run in McHenry, MD.
